I am a Sun
Certified Web Component Developer for J2EE Platform and a Sun
Certified Java Programmer. Please consider me for current or
future Java/J2EE Developer roles. I have 9 years total (academic
+ commercial) programming experience in a range of technologies;
including server-side J2EE (EJB), SOAP Web Services, XML, Web Components
(Struts, JSP, Tag Libraries, Servlets, etc.), Design Patterns, OOAD, UML,
SQL, Oracle and more. I enjoy developing on Windows and *nix platforms.
In addition to strong commercial experience, I have
completed courses of study in the Java programming language at City
University, London, UK. I also have a Bachelors Degree from the
Arts, Entertainment and Media Management Program at Columbia College,
Chicago, USA. Essentially a business management degree, my degree
studies at Columbia College have given me a deep understanding of
and appreciation for the non-technology related issues that affect
One of my recently completed projects as a Capgemini
ASPIRE employee is a bespoke OASIS SAML 1.1-based SOA security service
for which I coded 2 integral subsystems: 1) a bespoke OASIS SAML
1.1 Browser/POST SSO (Single Sign On) Profile implementation and
2) a bespoke SAML 1.1-based SSO web service. Another project I worked
on is a Java/J2EE/EJB-based application designed to process millions
of Oracle 9i records per day. My contribution was a combination
of analysis, design and implementation. I also recently contributed
to an MS SQL Server-to-Oracle migration project.
Before becoming a permanent member of the Capgemini
ASPIRE team, I was the director of my own software development company
(Propel New Media Ltd.). In that role, I wore many hats on all of
the development projects I delivered. That exposure gave me solid
grounding as a software architect, analyst, designer, and programmer.
Applying my well-rounded breadth of skills to my clients' projects
made it possible for them to maximize their software development
budgets and significantly improve their profits.
A list of more recent projects (including URLs) can be found in the 'Experience' section of the attached CV. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance for considering me.
